Из истории мюзикла Призрак Оперы
Мюзикл "The Phantom of the Opera" был написан Эндрю Ллойд Уэббером, по одноименному роману французского писателя Гастона Леру. Премьера мюзикла «Призрак Оперы» состоялась в Вест-Энде (Лондон) в 1986 году и на Бродвее (Нью-Йорк) в 1988 году. Дизайнер Мария Бьорнсон разработала декорации и создала более 200 костюмов. Ее сценография, включающая такие элементы, как люстра, гондола в подземелье и широкая лестница, принесла ей несколько престижных наград.

From the history of the musical Phantom of the OperaThe musical "The Phantom of the Opera" was written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and based on the novel by French writer Gaston Leroux. The premiere of the musical "Phantom of the Opera" was held in the West End (London) in 1986 and on Broadway (New York) in 1988.
Designer Maria Bjornson designed the sets and created more than 200 costumes. Her stage design, including items such as chandelier, gondola in the dungeon, and a broad staircase, earned her several prestigious awards.
In January 1911 novel by Gaston Leroux, the underlying musical "Phantom of the Opera" was first published in Russian. The book was entitled "The Mystery of Ghosts Grand Opera".
Now musical can be seen all over the world: London, New York, Hamburg, Moscow, Budapest, Stockholm, Beijing, Guangzhou.

История Призрака в Москве началась с Церемонии "Золотая маска", где впервые в истории главный номер легендарного мюзикла «Призрак Оперы» был исполнен на исторической сцене Большого театра в исполнении артистов из Великобритании, Германии и России в сопровождении Большого симфонического оркестра и хора! Выступление на 2-х языках открыло XX юбилейную Церемонию вручения Российской Национальной театральной Премии «Золотая Маска», но самое удивительное - артисты выступали не на сцене, а в самом зале, так что декорациями к их выступлению служило красивое убранство Большого театра.

Leading actors personally met with Andrew Lloyd Webber in London, and he made a master class for them.

My impressions of the musical
My acquaintance with the musical Phantom of the Opera began a long time ago, when I was 9 years old and exploring the "Capitol of Great Britain" I was taken to Her Majesty's Theatre. From the threshold has begun the magic: beautiful decoration of ancient theater, red velvet seat rows, ice cream and of course interesting, mysterious and incredibly beautiful performance, which at the time seemed to me something unimaginable! Felt dizzy from a falling chandelier and musical melody stuck in my head so tightly that I remember them till today. Then we bought a book of piano notes, a cd-disk with recordings of musical songs and, of course, the program. All this we have carefully kept until now and the black cover of the piano notes book of notes still pleases me when i see it on the shelf, and sometimes even I dare to play something from the musical.

After that, I was back in London and again hit the Phantom of the Opera, but many years later. I was looking forward to that sense of mysticism and magic, but certainly as a child all the emotions are always stronger. Chandelier didn't seem to fall so quickly on the audience, the stage seemed tiny, talks on stage - longer, and the costumes not so brilliant. But this is a kid's view of the world: ice cream seems sweeter and holidays seems longer.:)
And here come an interesting occasion for me - Phantom of the Opera - in Moscow! On one hand, I thought, "I've seen it already 2 times! Watch it for the third time is kinda weird", but on the other hand, I was incredibly curious about how it looks on our stage, our actors, and especially in MDMe theater which, of course earlier didn't look even close like Her Majesty's Theatre :)
Finally, I got the tickets, and here I am sitting in the stalls, I looking at curtains and compress the ticket in a bit wet hands. I watched the musical, as expected, in one breath. Like the first time worried about the Christine decision, tried to understand the behavior of the Phantom, felt shivers down my spine during the main duo Phantom and Christine in underground lake and waiting the chandelier to fall :) I was struck by our production scale and professionalism. Of course, I knew that it was put in strict accordance to the original one, with costume's decor and trajectory of the falling chandelier, but still I could not imagine such a success!

After the performance, I visited behind the scenes of the play, since June the musical welcomes guests not only in the hall, but also behind the scenes - Stage Entertainment have organized regular tours behind the scenes of The Phantom of the Opera, where accompanied by guide, you can learn about the mysteries of the history of the musical, secrets of the famous falling chandelier and boat slipping on the underground lake, see the mask the phantom and discover its true color and see how so many backstage decoration are storedin the concert hall MDM.
The tour was quite extensive, we walked along the dressing rooms, wardrobe department and looked through carefully stored rows of wigs. You could see the finish of the most sophisticated artist outfits who were made in accordance with the sketches of the original production.

In one scene, the Phantom disappears instantly from the middle of the scene, and the guide even told us tthe secret of this trick.

Мое знакомство с мюзиклом Phantom of the Opera началось давным-давно, когда мне было 9 лет и в рамках программы знакомства с "Capitol of Great Britain" меня повели в театр ее Величество. Еще с порога началось волшебство: красивое убранство старинного театра, бархатная обивка, мороженое и конечно интересное, загадочное и безумно красивое представление, которое в тот момент мне показалось чем-то невообразимым! От одной падающей люстры закружилась голова, а мелодии мюзикла засели в моей голове настолько прочно, что я помню их до сих пор. Тогда мы купили сборник нот для фортепиано, cd-диск с записями всех музыкальных номеров и, конечно, программку. Все это мы бережно сохранили до сих пор и черная обложка сборника нот все еще радует мой взгляд, падающий на полку с нотной партитурой и даже иногда я берусь поиграть что-то из него.

После того первого знакомства волею судьбы я снова оказалась в Лондоне и снова попала на постановку Фантома Оперы, но уже спустя много лет. Я предвкушала то самое ощущение мистики и волшебства, но конечно в детстве все эмоции в разы сильнее. Люстра мне не показалась такой уж огромной и не так стремительно падала на зрителей, сцена показалась малюсенькой, разговоры на сцене - длиннее а костюмы - тускнее. Но что поделаешь, на то он и детский взгляд на мир, так и мороженое слаще и каникулы длиннее.
И вот удивительное для меня событие - Призрак Оперы - в Москве! С одной стороны, я думала "я же видела его уже 2 раза! идти третий уже как-то неловко", но с другой стороны, было безумно любопытно посмотреть как же это выглядит на нашей сцене, с нашими актерами, и в особенности в МДМе, который, естественно раньше мало походил на театр Ее Величества:)
Я все-таки попала на мюзикл и вот я сижу в партере, разглядываю портьеры и сжимаю влажными ладошками билетик. Мюзикл я посмотрела, как и ожидалось, на одном дыхании. Как и в первый раз переживала за решение Кристин, пыталась понять поведение Призрака, чувствовала мурашки по спине во время главного дуэта Призрака и Кристин у подземного озера и ждала когда же обрушится люстра:) Наша постановка меня поразила профессиональностью и масштабом. Конечно, я понимала, что ее ставили в строгом соответствии с оригинальной, вплоть до тесьмы на костюмах и траектории движения люстры, но все равно я не могла себе представить такого успеха!

После представления я отправилась за кулисы спектакля, поскольку с июня мюзикл встречает гостей не только в зрительном зале, но и за кулисами - Stage Entertainment организовали регулярные экскурсии за кулисы Призрака Оперы, где в компании экскурсоводов можно узнать о тайнах истории создания мюзикла, секреты "падения" знаменитой люстры и скольжения лодки по подземному озеру, посмотреть маску фантома вблизи и узнать ее настоящий цвет, а также посмотреть как хранятся и как умещаются многочисленные декорации представления за кулисами концертного зала МДМ.
Экскурсия оказалась довольно подробной, мы прошлись вдоль гримерок, посмотрели костюмерный цех и ряды аккуратно приготовленных париков. Можно было рассмотреть отделку даже самых сложных нарядов артистов, которые создавались по образцам оригинальной постановки.
На экскурсию можно смело отправляться с маленькими детьми, потому что рассказывают очень понятно и просто, а уж разглядывать декорации детям точно понравится! главное напомнить им, что ничего нельзя трогать!:)
В одной из сцен призрак мгновенно исчезает с середины сцены, и даже секрет этого трюка нам рассказали и показали.
